Summary

This study critically examines theories in the field of foreign/second language acquisition and attempts an overview of foreign language acquisition by comparing data from English, German, and Korean. Based on existing research, the development process of second language acquisition theory is organized chronologically, and German examples are added to expand the scope of discussion. It also aims to deepen the understanding of foreign language acquisition theories, which have been lacking in domestic research.
