Summary

This study explores the meanings of folktales from the Japanese colonial period as potential materials for Korean language education in a unified Korea. Analyzing 228 tales from four folktale collections, the research examines the content and stylistic characteristics of 14 types of stories and their potential as children's literature materials for a unified nation. The possibilities of utilizing each type as textbooks for a unified Korea were investigated.
