Summary

This study analyzed multi-dimensional child poverty experiences through in-depth interviews with participants in the Korean Welfare Qualitative Panel Study and presented the phenomenological effects of poverty on child development. The results showed that childhood poverty experiences were associated with negative developmental outcomes such as trauma and intergenerational poverty, and this qualitative research based on insider perspectives can contribute to expanding poverty policy research.
