Summary

This study seeks to establish a basis for the creative transformation of existing culture & arts education and humanities activities through an analysis of picture book humanities activities. Utilizing cultural-historical activity theory (CHAT) as an analytical framework, the study analyzes the case of '[Walking with the Picture Books]' and demonstrates that changes in activity system variables can lead to new humanities activities and culture & arts education practices.
