Summary

This study explored how French assessment is actually operated under the 2015 revised curriculum and analyzed the perception and acceptance of French teachers regarding the assessment. The survey results indicated that French assessment is not being operated based on the achievement standards of the curriculum, which is the essence of the achievement assessment system, and the reasons for this are the ambiguity of the achievement standards, the gap between the standards and student levels, and the lack of connection to university entrance.
