Summary

This study examined the relationship between multidimensional social exclusion and depression among early adolescents using fuzzy set theory. The results indicated that health-related social exclusion had the greatest impact on depression, and there were gender differences in the types and effects of social exclusion. These findings provide practical and political implications for addressing social exclusion and depression in early adolescents.
