Summary

This study examined the relationship between positive parenting and growth mindset in elementary lower grade students, as well as the mediating effects of teacher closeness and sense of peer community. The results indicated that positive parenting positively influenced growth mindset and social relatedness, and teacher closeness mediated the relationship between positive parenting and sense of peer community. Gender differences were also found in the structural relationships.
