Summary

This study analyzes the current state of grounded theory utilization in Korean educational administration research and proposes improvements. An in-depth analysis of seven papers revealed issues such as excessive concept generation, a focus on micro-level themes, misuse of the coding paradigm, a limited theorizing process, limitations in applying existing textbook structures, and researcher subjectivity. To address these issues, the study suggests utilizing concept generation worksheets, introducing an analytical focalizer, attempting conceptual and relational theorization, incorporating a third coding process, reinterpreting context, and clarifying researcher information.
