Summary

This study examined the structural relationships among parental attachment, emotional intelligence, social skills, and peer relations in early adolescents. The results indicated that parental attachment directly influences emotional intelligence, social skills, and peer relations, and indirectly affects peer relations through emotional intelligence and social skills. These findings suggest that parent education to enhance parental attachment and school activities to improve emotional intelligence and social skills are effective for promoting positive peer relations in early adolescents.
