Summary
This study aimed to verify the validity and test-retest reliability of the Communication Behavior Scale for Nurses Caring for People with Dementia. Communication behavior scores were significantly higher for nurses in elderly care facilities compared to those in general hospitals, with a test-retest reliability of .813. Therefore, the tool is appropriate for evaluating dementia patient care levels and is expected to be widely applicable.
