This study focused on the phenomenon of synonymy in Korean involving verb-resultant Sino-Korean words, arguing that the ‘action-result’ semantic relationship within Sino-Korean compound verbs causes synonymy due to Korean speakers' difficulty in grasping the meaning of the result. The study confirmed a list of verb-resultant Sino-Korean compound verbs, presented types of synonymy, and analyzed Korean speakers’ grammaticality judgments through a survey.
