This study focuses on the development and performance evaluation of ‘HanTongE’, a multilingual vocabulary relay service based on natural language processing technology, to address language communication challenges faced by multicultural families. ‘HanTongE’ analyzes the meaning of words in Korean sentences and provides equivalent words in 10 languages, enhancing the Korean language comprehension of multicultural family members. The research was conducted through an interdisciplinary approach encompassing natural language processing, language education, multilingual translation, and multicultural policy.
