Summary

This study investigated the relationship between growth life-goals and career identity among middle school students, as well as the moderating effect of contribution goals and the mediating effect of perseverance of effort. The results showed that growth life-goals positively impacted career identity, contribution goals moderated this relationship, and perseverance of effort mediated it. These findings suggest the need to emphasize both growth and contribution goals in career education for middle school students and to connect perseverance with career identity formation through educational interventions.
