Summary

This study analyzed Facebook travel content to identify factors influencing the popularity of tourism content among social media tourists. The results showed that information type and information source significantly affected content popularity (likes), and information type exhibited an interaction effect. These findings were analyzed using interpretation level theory, and marketing implications for the tourism industry were presented.
