Summary

This study explored the perspective changes of teachers participating in a school-community partnership program in Seoul through a case study based on transformative learning theory. The results showed that teachers experienced a process of change starting with a dilemma about ‘why the community?’, followed by critical review of educational frameworks, new attempts, and educational confidence, ultimately leading to reintegration based on new perspectives. Observable student changes, curriculum reconstruction aligning learning with life, and exploration of the community space influenced these changes.
