Summary

This study developed an economic model to assist contractors in achieving the required G-SEED scores for materials and resources, considering both environmental performance and cost-effectiveness. By analyzing actual consulting data and applying a genetic algorithm, the model selects material alternatives that meet the required scores at a minimum cost, resulting in approximately a 79.3% reduction in construction costs compared to existing methods.
