This study aimed to develop an education program to improve emotional competency in early childhood education centers by analyzing the emotional competency education needs of teachers by rank. The needs analysis revealed that all ranks had high demands for education in stress management, flexibility, conflict management, and communication, with additional demands for empathy, respect for others, self-emotional awareness, and organizational understanding depending on the rank. Based on these findings, an emotional competency improvement program consisting of 7 sessions and 15 classes was developed and its content validity was secured through expert review.
