Summary

This study aims to investigate the overall trends and issues of research on Korean language assessment, which have begun since the 1990s. Korean language assessment research, initially focused on TOPIK, has become more active in KSL and assessment for specific purposes since 2011 with the entry into a multicultural society, and discussions on writing and speaking assessment have increased due to the emphasis on communicative competence and computer-based objective assessment.
