Summary

This study investigated the impact of baristas’ verbal and nonverbal communication on customers’ perceived selection attributes (interior, menu quality, service, cleanliness) and satisfaction in independently-owned coffee shops. The analysis revealed significant differences in selection attributes and customer satisfaction based on customers’ perception of barista communication, and both communication methods showed an interaction effect.
