Summary

This study validated a Korean version of a student engagement scale with a 4-dimensional structure (cognitive, behavioral, affective, and agentic engagement) for university students. Through factor analysis and other statistical tests with 606 participants, the 4-dimensional structure was confirmed, and differences in engagement levels were found based on gender and grade. Furthermore, student engagement significantly mediated the relationship between self-regulated learning strategies, subjective task-value, expected academic achievement, and class satisfaction.
