This study aimed to investigate the effects of sensory-based interventions in children with autism spectrum disorders to propose therapeutic guidelines. Analysis of 19 experimental studies published from 2000 to 2017 revealed varying effects depending on the intervention (dynamic seating, weight vest, swing, etc.), and generalization was limited due to differences in research design and results.
