Summary

This study investigated university instructors’ perceptions of learning evaluation by academic major and the current status of evaluation method utilization according to instructional types. The results showed that humanities instructors had the highest perception of learning evaluation, while engineering instructors had the lowest, and the perception of using evaluation results for career guidance was low across all majors. Furthermore, various evaluation methods such as paper-based evaluation, practical skills evaluation, and presentation evaluation were utilized depending on the instructional type, and difficulties existed in securing objectivity and setting evaluation criteria.
