Summary

This study investigated the neuroprotective effects of yacon leaf extract (YLE) against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced neuroinflammation in both in vitro and in vivo models. YLE significantly reduced nitric oxide production in microglia and decreased mRNA levels of inflammatory factors. Furthermore, YLE alleviated LPS-induced brain damage, suggesting its potential for preventing neurodegenerative diseases.
