Summary

This study aims to develop a ‘Science-ESD Instructional Model’ applicable to actual science classes by integrating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into the ‘Disaster and Safety’ unit of the 2015 revised science curriculum. The model was developed through a five-step lesson design process, and revised and supplemented through expert consultation, actual class application, and analysis. The developed instructional model provides practical classroom strategies for the integrated unit of the revised science curriculum emphasizing integrated science education.
