Summary

This study explored the dimensions, clusters, conceptual structure, and importance of job competency perceived by incumbent workers for new college graduates through a concept mapping study. The results revealed that job competency consists of two dimensions: ‘job performance ability-basic occupational ability’ and ‘attitude toward colleagues/work,’ and is categorized into 11 clusters including responsibility, passion, and communication skills. Furthermore, compliance with laws and regulations was recognized as the most important and frequently experienced job competency, while communication skills showed the largest gap between expected and actual experience.
