Summary

This study identified school effects influencing middle school students’ academic achievement through multilevel modeling. Both student-level variables (reading time, exercise volume, parental relationship, etc.) and school-level variables (school principal’s gender, WEECLASS operation, teacher teaching climate, etc.) significantly impacted academic performance. The findings offer policy implications for improving middle school students’ academic achievement.
