This study investigated the impact of paid work on the self-efficacy and interpersonal relationships of poor elderly individuals, confirming that the quality of paid work positively affects interpersonal relationships and self-efficacy plays a mediating role. Based on a survey of poor elderly people in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, the study suggests the need for policies to improve the quality of paid work and practical measures to enhance the self-efficacy of the elderly.
