Summary

This study examines whether pre-service English teachers can improve their creativity and convergence education competence through teaching underachieving English language learners and mentoring. Through a converged curriculum (integrated classes, field-based classes, and mentoring practice), the pre-service teachers’ self-efficacy of creativity education and awareness of converged classes were improved, and reflective journal analysis showed increased self-efficacy through critical reflection and continuous improvement of tutoring.
