Summary

Since 2015, a large influx of refugees into Europe has occurred due to changes in the Middle East and Africa, intensifying conflicts among EU countries regarding refugee acceptance and responsibility for asylum examination. The EU recognizes resolving the refugee issue as a common task for all of Europe, emphasizing humanitarian acceptance and establishing duties and procedures through the EU Asylum Directives and Dublin Rules. This study examines the basic legislation for refugee protection in the EU and relevant case law to ensure its effective implementation.
