Summary

This study investigates the experiences of Swedish fathers with parental leave for childcare to derive implications for ethical management. The high participation rate of Swedish fathers is a result of governmental institutional promotion, awareness of social responsibility for childcare and gender equality, and the overall cultural atmosphere. Fathers experienced positive feedback effects such as strengthening relationships with their children and realizing the importance of gender equality through participation in parental leave.
