This study analyzes the impact of the employment environment on wages for industrial workers in the Daegu region using a hierarchical linear model. The results indicate that human capital variables primarily influence wage formation in industrial areas located on the outskirts of the city, characterized by small and medium-sized enterprises, while employment environment variables have a statistically significant, albeit smaller, impact. This suggests the need for explanatory factors considering the characteristics of regional labor markets.
