Summary
This study analyzed the causal relationship between unmet healthcare needs and quality of life using data from the Korean Medical Panel. The results showed that unmet healthcare needs had statistically significant negative effects on all sub-variables of quality of life (athletic ability, self-care, daily activities, pain, anxiety, and subjective health condition). Specifically, pain, subjective health condition, and anxiety were most affected by unmet healthcare needs.
