This study examines the burial aspects and significance of metal containers and pottery buried in the ‘grave goods space around the head of the deceased’ within wooden chamber tombs with stone mounds. The metal containers reflect ostentatious burial rituals displaying the social status of the deceased, while the pottery is associated with food rituals and various offering rituals. Differences in the quantity and quality of vessels are observed according to tomb hierarchy, but the quantity does not always align with the hierarchy.
