Summary

This study evaluated the microbiological contamination levels of knives and cutting boards in child-care centers. The average contamination levels of total aerobic bacteria and coliform bacteria detected on knives and cutting boards were 1.7 log cfu/100 cm2, respectively. Notably, Bacillus cereus was detected and exhibited antibiotic resistance, highlighting the need for continuous hygiene education to prevent food poisoning.
