Summary

This study investigated parental perceptions on the characteristics and inclusive education of students with Down syndrome. The results indicated that the characteristics of students with Down syndrome include intelligence, adaptive behavior, and communication, while barriers to inclusive education include a lack of teacher qualifications and negative perceptions of disability. Parents requested support such as teacher and parent education, financial support, and improved disability awareness.
