This study aims to identify potential groups based on eating-out expenditure and its proportion in the increasing single-person households, to classify their eating-out behavior longitudinally, and to suggest directions for related industries. Latent profile analysis revealed three types of eating-out expenditure consumption: 'high-profile falling', 'middle-profile rising', and 'low-profile rising', and two types of eating-out expenditure proportion consumption: 'high-profile falling' and 'low-profile rising'.
