Summary

This study analyzed the quality attributes that consumers consider important when purchasing seafood, revealing that freshness, safety, taste, price, and appearance were prioritized in that order. These findings provide important implications for hygiene management and cold chain system establishment in seafood production and distribution, as well as for the revision of seafood quality certification systems.
