Summary

This study analyzed the reflection of multicultural content in elementary Korean language textbooks under the 2015 revised curriculum to explore directions for multicultural education. The analysis revealed that multiple multicultural contents appeared in both materials and illustrations, there was a grade-level bias, and differences existed in the multicultural content addressed by materials and illustrations. Future efforts should focus on supplementing lacking multicultural content such as equality and diversity, and presenting content hierarchically by grade level.
