Summary

This study investigated how parental consent and interest levels differ based on the sensitivity of research topics in studies involving minors. The results showed that consent and interest levels were higher in non-clinical research compared to clinical research, and within non-clinical research, they were highest for school life, interpersonal relationships, misconduct, and sexuality. The study examined the reasons for low parental consent and interest in sensitive research topics and emphasized the need to prioritize the protection of research subjects from the initial stages and explore ways to increase parental consent rates.
