Summary

This study analyzed the political effects of Gyeonggi Province's Youth Basic Income on beneficiaries' intention to participate in the general election and pay more taxes using a natural experiment. Based on the Policy Feedback Theory, the analysis revealed no statistically significant change in the intention to participate in the general election or pay more taxes among Youth Basic Income recipients. The study suggests various reasons, such as the small benefit amount and short policy maturity period, and calls for further research.
