This study examined the effect of daily life dysfunction caused by COVID-19 on depression experienced by social workers and verified the mediating effect of COVID-19 stress. The results showed that social workers experienced a high degree of interference in social/leisure activities, family life, and occupational functions, and the risk group of depression was more than five times higher than that of the general public. COVID-19 stress partially mediated the relationship between daily life dysfunction and depression.
