This study explores the historical background and literary strategies of Dutch-speaking Caribbean literature, interpreting Dutch Caribbean literature as a hybrid space where the past and present of colonialism coexist through Frank Martinus Arion’s *Dubbelspel*. Following the Curaçao uprising in 1969, Dutch Caribbean literature presents a heterotopic space overcoming the framework of colonialism and seeking new identities.

본 과목의 목적은 국제정치의 역사적 기원을 전통적인 제국의 해체와 국민국가의 형성이라는 동시적으로 발생한 두 과정의 복합적인 결과물로 검토하는데 있다. 본 과목은 두 부분으로 나뉘는데, 첫 번째 부분에서는 18세기 후반 이래 가속화된 제국의 여러 해체 과정을 살펴볼 것이며, 두 번째 부분에서는 19세기 중반 이래 급속도로 이들을 대체하며 등장하기 시작한 다양한 국민국가의 형성 과정을 비교하고자 한다.

라틴아메리카여성주의문학 인문대학 서어서문학과

이 교과목은 라틴아메리카 식민시대의 대표적 여성 작가인 멕시코의 소르 후아나 이네스 데 라 끄루스에서부터 시작된 여성주의 문학이 20세기까지 어떠한 양상으로 전개되어 왔는지 살펴본다. 특히 주요 작가들의 구체적 작품에 대한 독해와 분석을 통해서, 스페인 식민문화가 남긴 마치스모와 마리아니스모를 극복하려는 노력과 라틴아메리카 사회의 다양한 정치경제적 상황 변화에 대응하는 방식을 살펴봄으로써 라틴아메리카 여성주의 문학의 특수성과 보편성을 확인하고자 한다.
프랑스어권문학강독 인문대학 불어불문학과

프랑스어는 단지 프랑스의 문학, 문화, 사상을 이해하기 위한 통로만이 아니다. 오늘날 벨기에 등 유럽 지역, 퀘벡을 비롯한 북미 지역, 카리브해 지역, 그리고 특히 아프리카에는 프랑스 국민보다도 더 많은 수의 사람들이 프랑스어로 말하고, 프랑스어로 씌여진 글을 읽고 있다. 이처럼 프랑스어는 세계의 거의 모든 지역의 다양한 문화에 접근하는 가능성을 제공하는 것이다. 프랑스어권 문학강독은 두 개의 상이한 목표를 갖는다. 첫째 목표는 상대적으로 평이한 프랑스어로 쓰인 텍스트들의 꼼꼼한 독서를 통해 프랑스어 텍스트 해독 능력을 기르는 것이다. 두 번째 목표는 프랑스어권 문학이라는 제목과 관계가 깊다. 20세기 이후 유럽 및 프랑스의 식민지라는 아픈 과거 경험을 아프리카 및 카리브해 지역의 작가들이 문학을 통해 어떻게 극복하였으며, 또한 해방 후 포스트식민주의 상황에서 그들이 어떻게 문화적, 민족적 정체성을 찾아가는지 따라가 볼 수 있을 것이다. 이처럼 각 지역의 역사적 상황과 밀접하게 연결되어 있는 문학 텍스트를 읽으면서 우리는 문학과 사회, 문학과 문화정체성, 억압 상황과 문학 등의 관계 등에 대해 개관하며, 포스트식민주의의 기초 개념과도 만날 수 있을 것이다.

동서양 여러 나라에서 문학 갈래(장르)에 관한 이론을 전개해온 경과를 검토하고, 서로 공통된 문학갈래를 비교하여 고찰한다.

이 교과목은 젠더와 다문화 쟁점에 대한 수업으로, 젠더와 인종 문제를 지리학과 포스트 식민주의 맥락에서 살필 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 이주를 비롯한 국제적 이동이 젠더 정치학을 어떻게 변화시키고 있는지에 초점을 둔다. 인종과 젠더, 섹슈얼리티가 다양한 문화적, 경제적 상황에 어떻게 구성되는지, 이러한 과정에서 젠더가 다문화주의와 어떤 관련을 맺게 되는지를 살핀다. 이 교과목을 통해 수강생들은 증가하는 불안정성과 자본, 사람, 지식의 이동 속에서 여성의 이주, 이동이 어떠한 의미를 갖는지를 자신만의 관점을 통해 분석할 수 있다.
영문학과 아시아: 횡단과 조우 인문대학 영어영문학과

이 수업은 아시아, 특히 동아시아의 역사적 맥락 속에서 영문학이 지니는 문화적·사회적·정치적 의미를 탐색한다. 식민주의와 탈식민주의, 냉전 체제 속에서 형성된 영미문학과 아시아의 관계를 비판적으로 조명하고, 아시아계 및 디아스포라 작가들의 작품(소설, 시, 자전적 글쓰기, 그래픽 노블 등)을 통해 영문학의 지리적·문화적 경계를 재구성한다. 아울러 영문학이 아시아에서 어떻게 번역되고 수용되며, 학문적으로 연구되어 왔는지를 살펴본다. 학생들은 이러한 논의를 통해 영문학을 탈중심화하는 동시에 세계 속에서 끊임없이 이동하고 재구성되는 살아 있는 텍스트로 이해하게 된다.
현대라틴아메리카의 대중문화 인문대학 서어서문학과

이 교과목은 축제, 노래, 미술, 연속극, 춤, 문학, 영화 등의 라틴아메리카 현대대중문화를 다루면서 다음과 같은 점을 수업목표로 한다. 대중문화에 대한 기초적이고 일반적인 시각들을 검토하며 라틴아메리카 대중문화의 독특한 특징을 살펴본다. 또한 식민통치와 신식민주의가 라틴아메리카 대중문화 형성에 끼친 영향, 근대성과 라틴아메리카 대중문화의 함수관계 및 세계화와 라틴아메리카 대중문화의 변화 양상을 살펴보는 것을 목표로 한다.

동판화, 석판화, 목판화, 공판화, Collagraphy 등 다양한 기법을 개괄적으로 소개하고, 구체적인 실험, 연구의 과정을 가짐으로써 독창적 기법을 모색한다. 그리고 주관적 발상, 제작, 개념의 객관화 등 일련의 작업 및 토론과정에서 판화의 복합적인 개념을 점검함으로써 발전적인 작품제작의 기초를 마련한다. 또한 전통과 현대의 사회적 기법적 특성을 나름대로 소화하여 실험적이면서도 판화로써 완결성을 가진 작품을 제작한다. 토론과 세미나, 작품제작을 통하여 판화의 개념을 발전시키며 논리적으로 분석하는 능력을 배양한다. 전통적인 기법을 정확하게 구사하는 능력과 아울러 판화 고유의 특성을 나름대로 소화하여 개성적인 시도를 병행함으로써 실험적이면서도 판화로써 완결성을 가진 작품을 제작한다. 그리고 계속적인 토론과 평가를 통해 완성된 작품의 주제와 기법, 개인의 작품론 등을 점검해 나아간다.
