This study aims to clarify how 'Z' is expressed in postwar Japanese popular culture and to explore its implications and ideologies. 'Z' was reproduced in various media contents such as Mazinger Z, Z Gundam, and Dragon Ball Z as a symbol of transnationalism, victory, and war, and was used as a symbol of heroes, war gods, guardians, and saviors. This phenomenon reflects the dominant ideology of Japanese society and functions as a linguistic code within popular culture.
