Summary

This study examined the mediating effect of self-silencing on the relationship between adult attachment and depression in university students. The results showed a significant correlation between anxious and avoidant attachment and self-silencing, and avoidant attachment had a partial mediating effect on depressive symptoms through self-silencing. Additionally, self-silencing also showed a positive partial mediating effect in the relationship between anxious attachment and depression.
