Summary

This study empirically verified the effects of leader’s indecisiveness and organizational culture (consensus development culture, rational culture, hierarchy culture) on corporate performance and analyzed the moderating effect of value orientation to identify ways to improve corporate performance of small-and-medium sized enterprises(SMES) in a rapidly changing business environment. The results showed that leader’s indecisiveness had a negative impact on business performance, and consensus development culture had a positive impact on both organizational effectiveness and business performance. Furthermore, value orientation was found to mitigate the negative impact of leader’s indecisiveness on business performance and enhance the positive impact of consensus development culture.
