This study analyzes the impact of neoliberal globalization and educational marketization on national curricula, focusing on the case of England’s national curriculum to examine the process and justification of educational market governance. The UK curriculum has evolved through decentralization, market-oriented policies, new public management, and standardization, adopting private governance based on local autonomy. These market-oriented curriculum ideologies have influenced the curriculum ideologies of other countries such as Sweden, the United States, and New Zealand.
