This study investigated the impact of childhood trauma experiences (physical abuse, emotional abuse, and neglect) on interpersonal withdrawal in college students, mediated by psychological rigidity. The results showed that emotional abuse influenced interpersonal withdrawal through psychological rigidity, while neglect had a direct effect, and physical abuse did not show a significant mediating effect. This suggests that the mediating effect of psychological rigidity may vary depending on the type of childhood trauma, providing useful information for setting goals for psychotherapeutic interventions.
