Summary

This study emphasizes the need for education on ‘boundaries’ in geography education in the era of globalization and analyzes the cognitive and affective changes of learners by presenting a ‘critical boundary reading’ class module. Analysis of learners' boundary perceptions before and after the class revealed a shift from perceiving boundaries as barriers to permeable and socially constructed concepts, along with an increased sense of ethical responsibility towards global ‘others’.
