This study is an autobiographical narrative about the experience of a newly appointed supervisor in an education support office, focusing on the confusion caused by the change in position from teacher to supervisor and the new work environment. The results showed that the novice supervisor experienced identity confusion, confusion about supervisor professionalism, and difficulties adapting to the culture of the education support office, and this confusion served as nourishment for reflection and growth.
