Summary

This study examines the spatial practice of ‘look away’ and visualization in Park Wan-Suh’s *Winter was Warm that Year*, set against the backdrop of Seoul urbanization. Unlike previous research, Oh-Mok is reinterpreted not as a passive object but as a subject exerting mobility within the ‘space of difference’ created by the capitalist class, revealing the uneven spatial production of Seoul and the struggle to overcome the repressive environment through the novel’s spatiality.
